Trick-or-treaters to ‘Walk with Animals’ at Salato

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Salato Wildlife Education Center in Frankfort is having a "Walk with the Animals" event for trick-or-treaters later this week.

Young children can wear their costumes, and there will be candy to collect and passports to have stamped at animal exhibits. There will also be a haunted hay maze and a creatures of the night exhibit.

Admission is free for members or $5 a person for nonmembers. The event is from noon to 5 p.m. EDT Saturday at the center off U.S. 60, approximately 1 ½ miles west of the U.S. 127 intersection.

The Salato Center is operated by the Kentucky Department for Fish and Wildlife Resources.
