KY Doctor Is An Executive At Dallas Ebola Hospital

ABC 36 is learning about a Kentucky connection to the Dallas, Texas hospital where one patient has died and a nurse has been diagnosed with Ebola.

Dr. Dan Varga graduated from the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville. He’s a Louisville native and since 2013 has served as Chief Clinical Officer for Texas Health Resources, which oversees Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital.

According to his biography, before that, Dr. Varga was Chief Clinical Officer of KentuckyOne Health and Chief Medical Officer of St. Joseph Health System here in Lexington.
