Four UK Football Players Charged With Disorderly Conduct

Four University of Kentucky Football players were charged with second-degree disorderly conduct Thursday.

Those players are Andrew Barker, Dorian Baker, Tymere Dubose and Stanley "Boom" Williams.

They are accused of firing BB guns near the Kirwan-Blanding residence halls Sunday, causing UK’s campus to go on lockdown for a period of time.

If found guilty, those charges carry a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail and/or a $250 fine.

The allegations will also be reviewed by the university‘s Office of Student Affairs.

The university released this statement as a reaction to the charges: "A criminal complaint has been filed and signed by the judge. This matter is now in the hands of the court and we must respect that process. As a result, it would be inappropriate to comment further."

With respect to the Code of Student Conduct, the university said all UK students are held accountable to the same process.  In that manner, the four players will individually meet with the Director of Student Conduct.

Additionally, the football team has suspended the players from Saturday’s game against the University of South Carolina.

The four will be arraigned in district court on October 28.
