Pulaski County Coroner Pleads Not Guilty To Theft Charges

Pulaski County Coroner Richard New pleaded not guilty on Thursday to theft charges, according to the court clerk.

He was indicted earlier this month on 26-theft charges.

He’s accused of stealing approximately $60,000 over a nine-year period from the funeral home where he used to work.

The charges are not related to his job as coroner.

His trial is scheduled for October 1, 2012.
