‘Pay-what-you-can’ restaurant planned

DANVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Organizers want to open a community restaurant in central Kentucky that offers home-cooked meals and a mission.

Grace Café will be a nonprofit and will allow customers to pay what they can.

The Advocate-Messenger (http://bit.ly/1qYJgGA ) reports it would be one of 35 such restaurants that have opened in the nation.

It is based on a model developed by the One World Everybody Eats Foundation and will offer "delicious, fresh, locally-sourced, organic-when-possible, highly-nutritious food."

Grace Café Executive Director Rochelle Bayless says a donation system will be set up for guest to pay the amount they think their meal is worth. If someone is unable to pay, they may volunteer for an hour in exchange for the food.

Bayless says organizers are looking in Boyle County for a location for the restaurant.
