Rolling Thunder Holds Inaugural “Thunder in the Bluegrass”

A veteran support organization in Lexington had a first. It’s called "Thunder in the Bluegrass".

It was a motorcycle run and the inaugural event Saturday was hosted by our very own Tom Kenny.

The Rolling Thunder group rolled out Saturday morning from Man O’ War Harley Davidson.

All proceeds from the event went straight to the assistance of veterans in need but more than money raised, it was the turnout that drew emotions from those organizing the event.

“Since this is our first shot, not a one. But I look around and it’s overwhelming to see how many people from all over Central Kentucky, Richmond, Winchester, Cynthiana, Paris, it’s great,” said Stephen Racz, Rolling Thunder Chapter 5 KY President.

Rolling thunder started in 1995 and has expanded to 90 chapters across the country.
