WTVQ-TV has the following employment opportunities available:

Digital Operations Specialist: The Digital Operations Specialist (DOS) is a critical element in the success of the TV Station’s digital business. Essentially serving as a ‘project manager’, this person works with internal departments, various vendor partners, and an array of marketing tools to fulfill client or TV Station deliverables on time and on budget. Ultimately, this person is responsible for making sure the deliverables meet and/or exceed client expectations after the sale.

The Digital Operations Specialist must be an extremely well organized, independent, skilled, enthusiastic, positive and resourceful individual with a keen aptitude for creative problem solving.

Responsibilities

Pre-Sale Support:

Identify prospects for sales team using various research tools 
Design sales collateral or presentations for both Station Assets and ChartLocal Services


After a Sale:

Put in insertion orders on ChartLocal.com or other vendor platform
Put order in Wide Orbit and print confirmation contract
Put order in Google DFP or coordinate with various internal TV Station departments if Station Asset order
Onboarding:

Take an active role in ‘onboarding’ conversations with client, fulfillment team and/or internal department.

Account Management:

Hold internal department and/or vendor partner fulfillment team accountable for meeting client expectations
Provide excellent point-of-contact customer service and project updates to the client
Keep accurate and detailed notes so that client questions can be answered quickly

Reporting:

Produce a client campaign report presentation monthly
Produce station website and mobile application analytics and revenue reports weekly for leadership meeting
Update the ‘Work In Progress’ (WIP) report weekly

Recon:

Verify accuracy of invoices
Assist DSM in identifying upsell or improvement opportunities
& any other duties as assigned by the Digital Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, Promotions Manager and/or General Manager.

Anchor/MMJ/Producer: WTVQ ABC 36 News is seeking a dynamic, experienced Anchor/MMJ/Producer to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. We are committed to providing high-quality local news coverage and are looking for a driven, creative, and versatile journalist who can excel both behind the desk and in the field.

Job Responsibilities:
• Anchor newscasts with professionalism, credibility, and energy.
• Act as a newsroom leader, helping to shape the vision and direction of newscasts.
• Develop and produce engaging, accurate, and timely newscasts.
• Generate story ideas and develop sources to create compelling, local content.
• Shoot, write, and edit news stories as a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ).
• Maintain excellent news judgment and editorial decision-making.
• Collaborate with producers, reporters, and photographers to ensure seamless, high-quality broadcasts.
• Engage with viewers through social media and other platforms to enhance audience experience and coverage.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Anchor, MMJ, or Reporter preferred.
• Ability to produce newscasts and generate creative content under tight deadlines.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency in shooting and editing video.
• Excellent news judgment and leadership abilities.
• Comfortable with live reporting and breaking news coverage.
• Familiarity with newsroom software and editing tools.

Additional Skills:
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of AP style and adherence to journalistic standards.
