N. Ky. city keeps pit bull ban
FORT THOMAS, Ky. (AP) — Officials in a northern Kentucky city have decided to keep a ban on pit bull dogs that was put in place 30 years ago.
A Fort Thomas City Council committee researched the issue for weeks after dozens of people asked the city to lift the ban. The committee had recommended keeping the ban in place.
The Kentucky Enquirer (http://cin.ci/1srMRwq ) reports Mayor Mary H. Brown cast the deciding vote this week after the council deadlocked 3-3.
Brown said it was a difficult decision, but it came down to what would be safer for citizens.
