UPDATE: Downtown Richmond Fire Ruled Accidental
Firefighters said that a fire on July 8th in an historic section of downtown Richmond was an accident.
It happened behind the MexiHollywood Restaurant.
Investigators said the fire was probably caused by a charcoal ember from a grill or a discarded cigarette on a second floor wooden patio deck.
A couple was trapped during the fire.
Investigators said they called 911 and were rescued by firefighters.
