Attacker Used Machete Against Lexington Man

Officers said the victim heard a knock on his apartment door to see someone he recognized with a man he did not know.

Police said when he opened the door, the unknown man punched him in the face several times.

He said the suspect pulled out a machete, swung it and cut the victim’s finger.

Officers said the two men then ran off but have not given a motive for the crime yet.

The victim was treated at U.K. Hospital.

When the suspect is arrested, he will face felony assault charges.
