Man Accused Of Thefts At Transylvania University

 A case of beer did in one accused thief according to police.
 Eric Lewis, 58, was arrested on Sunday after allegedly shoplifting beer at a Lexington convenience store.
 According to court documents when he was booked into jail, Lewis gave a fake name.
 Documents said Lewis gave the wrong name so officers would not find out he was wanted on seven outstanding warrants.
 Those warrants involved thefts at Transylvania University.
 Documents said back in October, Lewis was caught on a surveillance camera stealing a laptop from a bookbag and a wallet.
 Police said Lewis sold the laptop and used credit cards from the wallet to make fraudulent purchases.
 Documents said Lewis confessed to the thefts.
