Woman Hit By Bullet In Lexington Apartment
A shooting at a Lexington apartment sent one woman to the hospital Sunday night.
Police got the call for shots fired at 631 North Martin Luther King Boulevard around 11:30 p.m. then received a call about a victim with a gunshot wound at the address.
When police arrived, they found a woman in one of the apartments with a bullet wound to the upper body.
The victim was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital with what police said were non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the woman was in the apartment with others but no one else was hit.
Multiple shell casings at the scene show the shots were fired from the parking lot at the apartment.
In addition to the apartment the woman was in, some rounds also struck other parts of the building .
Police said they don’t know if the victim or the apartment was targeted.
The investigation is ongoing.
