Police Accuse Man Of Hitting Child With Walking Stick
A young girl was hospitalized after she was hit in the side of the head with a walking stick.
Police accuse Elijah Porter, 21, of hitting the 8-year-old with a six-foot walking stick in the front yard of a Lexington home Sunday afternoon.
According to court documents, the child was in the yard with her father, Porter and Porter’s brother when she was struck.
Police said the attack was unprovoked.
The child was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital with what documents said were visible injuries to her head.
Porter is charged with assault.
