Deputies: Corbin Man Shot Into House While Pretending To Be A Cop

Deputies said a Corbin man shot into a house and told the homeowner he was a police officer.

Deputies said Junior Cornett, 67, was drunk Saturday night when they found him in the middle of Cotton Road.

They said he was screaming at neighbors.

Deputies said they later learned the homeowner had tried to get the gun away from Cornett.

That’s when the Sheriff’s Office said Cornett fired a second shot into the house.

Deputies said the homeowner’s wife and teenage daughter were in the home at the time.

No one was hurt.
