Man Gets Face Slashed After Answering Door
A man was slashed in the face after opening his door late Sunday night in Lexington, according to police.
The man said he heard a knock at the door of his home on Chestnut Street at around 11:30 p.m. and looked out and saw a woman he knew.
When he opened the door, he said the woman hit him in the face with a steak knife, slicing his cheek.
The woman then ran off.
The man went to the hospital to get stitches.
Police later arrested Shawn Johnson, 47, a few blocks over.
She was charged with assault.
