Wolf Lose In Jessamine County
It’s been an all-out wolf hunt in Jessamine county for three escaped wolf dogs.
David Fuller, the co-owner of Wolf Run Lodge Animal Sanctuary, said he was able to lure wolves Cherokee and Luna back. However, Cheyanne is still roaming free.
The pack of three females escaped Wednesday night by digging under the gate. The farm has never had an escape attempt before.
Fuller spotted the dogs when a child in a school bus yelled, “Wolves are chasing us.” He then used meat, a live trap and tranquilizers to apprehend Luna and Cherokee.
They are now on a slab of concrete, unable to make any get-a-ways.
Fuller said the dogs are nice and that he wasn’t worried for anyone’s safety.
"My concern would be for livestock but not for people,” said Fuller. “They’re very friendly the property they were on, on the gentlemen has the three of them playing in his swimming pool with his dog."
Fuller expects Cheyanne back on his land tonight. He said locally grown meat ought to do the trick.
