Fire Destroys Montgomery County Restaurant
Fire gutted a Montgomery county restaurant Thursday night.
The Montgomery County Fire Department said the fire broke out at the City King Buffet in Mount Sterling at 11:30 p.m.
Firefighters are not sure what caused the fire.
They said they had a difficult time fighting the fire because lightning in the area prevented them from putting up their ladders.
The fire forced guests on one side of the hotel next to the restaurant to be moved to the other side of the hotel briefly.
A fire investigator is expected on the scene Friday.
