A Northeastern Kentucky state park gets some new friends, literally

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)The Friends of Greenbo Lake State Resort Park was recently formed as a Kentucky non-profit and 501 (c) (3) corporation.

The non-profit was formed by friends of Greenbo to raise money and offer support to Greenbo Lake State Resort Park near Ashland  Membership is open to the public.

The group is providing memberships for as little as $5 for students, $20 yearly for single adult, $30-499 Friend of Jesse Stuart, $500-$999 Friend of Greenbo, $1,000-$9,999 to be a Patron of Greenbo Friend, and Benefactor of Greenbo Friend is $10,000 and over good for a lifetime membership! All financial gifts are tax deductible under IRS 501 (c) (3) rules.

Membership will offer benefits to help offer support, assist in fundraising, share ideas, get to know Greenbo staff and other friends, give back to the community, volunteer time to help with activities, and help invest in the park. Find more details on Facebook.

“We are very excited to announce the The Friends of Greenbo Lake State Resort Park Inc. has been formed.  We are so blessed to have Greenbo here in our community!  Our mission is simply “To Offer Support to Greenbo Lake State Resort Park”.  We would encourage everyone to get involved as we are just now getting started,” said Scott Hill, president of the newly established organization. “A small group of us who are friends wanted to start this to support this wonderful State Resort Park, but we are asking the entire community to get involved.”
