Shared Messages of Hope: Baptist Health Corbin hosts dedication ceremony

CORBIN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Baptist Health hosted a dedication ceremony at the construction site at the Radiation Oncology Center at Baptist Health Corbin, which is scheduled to be completed May 2021.

As part of the ceremony, staff, physicians and some patients wrote inspirational inscriptions on the walls of the vault for all that have been touched by cancer.

Written in stone on the unfinished concrete walls of the treatment room, they will be permanently embedded in the physical structure of “our facility of healing,” administrators said.

“At Baptist Health Corbin, we believe that our patients heal best when they are treated close to home, surrounded by family and friends. For this reason, we decided to take a moment mid-construction to reflect and ask some of our patients, staff and physicians to share messages of hope and healing for those who will one day receive treatment within our walls,” Administrators said.
