Lexington home damaged by fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Fire Department responded to a one-story, wood frame house fire Wednesday afternoon.

It happened on Garrett Avenue at the intersection of Linwood Drive a block off Versailles Road just after 2 p.m.

The house was damaged in the attic and firefighters used chainsaws to cut holes in the roof to get access to the blaze.

The house was under renovation.
