Car crashes into oil-change business

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A person was injured Monday morning when the SUV they were driving crashed into a oil-change business.

The accident happened at about 9:10 p.m. at the Valvoline Oil Change at 4181 Tates Creek Road.

Police at the scene tell WTVQ ABC 36 News that witnesses said a car was coming from Kroger towards Valvoline, lost control, went between two trees and hit the center column entering the business. The driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Firefighters said the crash didn’t cause “major” structural damage, but a support beam was installed as a precaution.
