Woman Killed In Lincoln County Crash
An elderly woman died following a crash in Lincoln County Tuesday morning.
According to the Fayette County coroner, 86-year-old Bertha VanHook was driving her car near the community of Kings Mountain at 11:30 a.m. when she went off the roadway on Kentucky 501 and hit a concrete barrier.
She was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center but died before going into surgery.
The coroner said the cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma.
