Kiwanis Club Annual Soup Day Postponed Due To Weather

The Kiwanis Club of Lexington’s 18th Annual Soup Day fundraiser will be pushed back to Friday, March 7 instead of the original Tuesday, March 4 date due to lingering travel issues from Sunday night’s snow and ice storm.

It will still be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Lexington from 11 am to 7 pm Friday. There will be a variety of homemade soups to choose from that will be served with cornbread and a drink. Desserts can also be purchased.

The Soup Day event is one of the Kiwanis Club’s main fundraisers of the year, helping to support their programs at Harrison Elementary School which includes a back pack program for low income families.

They also sponsor a health clinic in Ecuador with Shoulder To Shoulder Global.
