Victim of Carroll County house fire identified, cause still unknown

GHENT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman who died in a house fire in Carroll County on Saturday has been identified as 45-year old Constance Beal, of Ghent, according to Kentucky State Police.

Investigators say 74-year old Peggy O’Neil, of Ghent, was airlifted from the fire scene with non-life threatening injuries.  A third person, 54-year old Jerry Beckham, of Ghent, escaped the burning home without injury, according to KSP.

The fire started around 3:00 p.m. in the 200 block of Fishing Lane in Ghent. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but State Police say no foul play is suspected.
