Firefighter Collapses Battling Fire In Estill County
A firefighter collapsed battling a house fire in Estill county Wednesday.
Firefighters were called to a home on Doe Creek Road in Irvine just after 12 a.m.
The home was in flames when they arrived.
The Estill County Fire Department said one of their firefighters collapsed from heat exhaustion.
He was taken to the hospital but is expected to be fine.
Firefighters said there was no one home at the time of the fire.
They said the residents were reportedly on vacation.
An arson investigator will be at the scene Wednesday but firefighters said foul play is not suspected.
