Tip leads to search of home, drug arrest

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A tip leads Laurel County investigators to suspected drugs and lands a man in jail.

According to Sheriff John Root, 31-year-old Cody M. Blair was charged at about 2:20 a.m. Wednesday when deputies John Taylor and Landry Collett along with Sgt. John Inman responded to a home on Dogwood Springs Drive about four miles south of London to a tip of possible drug activity there.

Deputies say they found found Blair in possession of methamphetamine, methadone, several clear plastic distribution bags, digital scales, and glass smoking pipes. In addition, deputies found numerous used hypodermic syringes throughout the residence, Root said.

Blair is charged first first-degree meth possession and first-degree opiates possession, and other offenses.
