Jessamine County Celebrates Black History Month

People in Jessamine County celebrated Black History Month with a stage performance tonight.

The Message Theatre put on a one-act play called “The Meeting.”

It’s a fictional play about a meeting between Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr.

Organizers of The Message Theatre said they’ve been telling stories like this for 16 years.

The directors said it’s a chance to showcase quality theatre production, while involving the entire community.
