Preliminary numbers are in following homeless count in Knox County
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The annual Knox County homeless count revealed a population of more than 50 people, according to a report in the Times Tribune.
Volunteers and organizations spent January 29, 2020, counting the county’s homeless.
Each year the Kentucky House Corporation (KHC) conducts a count to monitor the homeless population in Kentucky. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires the count every other year, but KHC believes it best serves people in Kentucky to do it annually.
