Man shot, woman injured in hit-and-run at scene

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man was critically wounded after being shot overnight in Lexington and a woman was injured after being hit by a car while running from the scene, according to police.

Investigators say it all happened in the 1500 block of North Limestone around 2:00 a.m.

The shooting victim’s name was not released.

Police say they’re looking for driver who hit the woman and drove off.  Investigators say they think the car was a red, older model Toyota Camry.  The woman’s name was not released.  Her injuries were described by police as serious.

Investigators say they don’t know if the car was involved in the shooting.
