Four injured in two-vehicle crash on Tates Creek Road
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-A car flipped over trapping the driver at the entrance of Woodfield Neighborhood on Tates Creek Road.
Police say five people in two separate vehicles were involved in the crash.
Four of those people were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say two of the injured were children under the age of 10.
Woodfield Homeowner Association president Ray Depa says the intersection of Tates Creek Road and Forest Lake Drive is a dangerous spot on the road.
He says speeding cars, increased traffic, impatient drivers have contributed to multiple accidents.
“This is the sixthaccident that we’ve had at this intersection in the last year. Sixth,” he says.
Depa says The Homeowner’s Association has contacted the state twice about putting a traffic light at the intersection.
He says they were told each time that there is not enough traffic to warrant putting a traffic light there.
Depa says he hopes the most recent accident will influence the state to take action.
The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
