Homeless woman accused of stealing money and gun from home

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police accuse a homeless woman of forcing her way into a man’s home and stealing his gun and money.

Police say after 62-year-old Phyllis Barnes stole $70 and a pistol from the victim, she ran from the home.

They say that’s when the victim grabbed another gun and fired one round at the front door.

No injuries were reported.
