Lexington Police: Armed Man Tried To Rob Chinese Restaurant
Lexington Police are trying to find the man who reportedly tried to rob a Chinese restaurant Friday night.
Investigators said the man had a gun in his waistband when he walked into the Wong Wong Chinese Restaurant on Southland Drive.
He reportedly gave a worker a note demanding money.
According to police, when the employee didn’t comply, the man left the building.
Investigators believe he drove off in a vehicle.
Witnesses said the man’s face was covered and he was wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt.
He’s believed to be between 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall.
Because of his description, officers said they are trying to figure out if the man is the same person who robbed a Speedway at Beaumont Centre early Friday morning.
