Bell Central students gather in song for classmates who died in a fire
BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Bell Central School is mourning the loss of three of its students who died in a fire Tuesday morning.
Kentucky radio station 106.3 FM WRIL posted a video showing students gathered at the school Wednesday, singing ‘Amazing Grace’ in remembrance of their classmates 12-year-old Sierra Posey, 11-year-old Cynthia Posey and 8-year-old Shawn Posey.
The three children along with their grandmother, 59-year-old Beulah Mullins, all died after their mobile home burned to the ground.
Bell Central School set up a memorial Tuesday in its lobby for the three children after learning of the tragedy.
Principal Jennifer Blankenship says it’s a devastating loss.
“Our hearts are broken, but we take comfort in knowing that our Little Bulldogs are in Heaven,” she said. “Please keep praying for the family and our school.”
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
