UPDATE: Victim identified in deadly Christmas day shooting

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has identified the person found shot at an apartment in Lexington on Christmas.

The coroner says he is 23-year-old Bertin Garcia-Jimenez.

His death is being investigated as a homicide.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Christmas day, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

According to the paper’s report, a body was found in an apartment on Alexandria Drive, around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The paper says this is the same apartment complex that two people were found dead at in October.

Police told the paper that they are canvassing the area to learn more about what happened.
