Man arrested in Leslie Co. burglary, shooting
CONFLUENCE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say a man is in custody for a home invasion and burglary in Leslie County last month that left a woman with life-threatening injuries.
Police say someone broke into the home on Mosley Bend Road on May 19 around 3 a.m. and shot at the homeowners when they woke up and found him there.
A woman was injured in the shooting.
The suspect took off on an ATV.
On Saturday, police arrested 51-year-old Richard Dickerson in connection to the home invasion.
He is charged with assault, burglary and wanton endangerment.
The owner of the home where Dickerson was found, 60-year-old Chester Collett, was also arrested and charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
