Officials: Georgia rapist captured in Kentucky
FORT THOMAS, Ky. (WTVQ)- A child rapist accidentally released from a prison in Georgia was captured in Kentucky.
According to the Herald Leader Tony Munoz-Mandez mistakenly released from a Georgia prison five days ago.
The paper says 31-year-old Munoz-Mandez was caught by U.S. Marshals and I.C.E around 10:30 Wednesday night in Fort Thomas.
Munoz-Mandez was serving a life sentence for raping a 10-year-old girl.
The Georgia Department of Corrections says they’re not clear what lead to Mandez’s accidental release but are investigating.
