Police investigating deadly crash in Estill County

ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A crash in Estill County has left at least one person dead.

The accident happened on Spout Springs Road near Trammell Lane just before 11:50 a.m. Wednesday.

According to Kentucky State Police, 56-year-old Hager K. Rice, of Richmond, lost control of his car and crossed the centerline, hitting another car heard-on.

Rice was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the driver of the other car, 20-year-old Haley Puckett, and her three passengers were taken to the hospital.

Their conditions are not known at this time.
