Lexington Prescription Take Back Day takes in 1,750 pounds

LEXINGTON, Ky. ((WTVQ)-  Despite the rain on Saturday, the Lexington Police Department says prescription take back day was a big success.

The department says more than 1,750 pounds of unwanted or expired medication was collected.

Lexington Police want to remind people that they can still get rid of unwanted medications.

The medication can be taken to a local pharmacy or to the lobby of the Lexington Police Department.
