Fire breaks out at abandoned Clay County home

MANCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ)- A fire broke out at abandoned house early Tuesday morning in Clay County.

The City of Manchester Fire Department says they were called to the home on Coal Hollow Road, just after midnight.

Firefighters say that when they arrived, there was heavy fire and smoke coming from the home.

The department says after forcing their way inside, they had to abruptly leave the home because the ceiling began to cave in.

Three other departments helped clear the fire, and no injuries were reported.
