Members of the ABC 36 Team win KY Broadcasters Association’s Excellence in Broadcasting awards
LEXINGTON,Ky. (WTVQ) – We want to take a moment to congratulate a few members of our ABC 36 Team.
On Monday night, reporter Christy Bollinger was honored at the Kentucky Broadcasters Association’s Excellence in Broadcasting awards ceremony.
Christy was named KBA’s “Television Rookie of the Year” which recognizes an individual who has made great strides in their first two years in the TV industry
Christy started off as a production tech and moved her way up to reporter.
In an email to staff, ABC 36’s General Manager Chris Aldridge wrote, “She’s not afraid to tackle the tough stories, and brings a positive attitude and great work ethic to the job.”
We also want to congratulate two members of our marketing team, Todd Linden and Kate Johnson.
Todd and Kate won the award for “Best Locally Produced TV Commercial.”
This award recognizes creativity, message delivery, and production value for a commercial produced for a local advertiser. The winning commercial was for ‘Bluegrass Irrigation’.
