KSP investigating death of Whitley County woman

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Whitley County woman was found fatally shot at a home on Wednesday.

Kentucky State Police received the call about the shooting at the home on KY HWY 1064 in the Woodbine community around 7:30 p.m.

Troopers arrived to find 57-year-old Vicki S. Conner, of Corbin, dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Police are calling it a death investigation, but say the circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear.

Conner’s body has been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy that has been scheduled for Thursday.

Police say more information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
