Teacher charged with inappropriate communications with a minor

BULLITT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Louisville teacher has resigned after being arrested for having what police say was inappropriate communications online with a juvenile.

According to the Courier-Journal, 28-year-old Richard Wilkerson, of Shepardsville, was a teacher at Christian Academy in Louisville.

Kentucky State Police says he was arrested on Thursday following an undercover investigation.

The Courier Journal says Wilkerson resigned after being arrested in Bullitt County.

Investigators did not say if Wilkerson was communicating with a student at the school.

He is charged with prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor.
