Officials believe cigarette causes grass fire

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Overnight in Madison County, there was a grass fire that officials believe started because of a cigarette.

It happened off Muddy Creek Road and 421 around 1 a.m.

Red Lick volunteer fire department responded.

They posted on facebook saying they’re fortunate it didn’t spread even further because of the windy conditions.
