UPDATE: One of two jail escapees still on the run

HAZARD, Ky. (WTVQ) – One of two escapees from the Kentucky River Regional Jail in Hazard was captured Tuesday afternoon, according to the jail.

Officials say John Miller was taken back into custody.

They say inmate Carl Engle is still on the loose.

Investigators say the two inmates overpowered a deputy, stole his keys and used them to escape during a routine check Sunday night.

Officials say this is the second time Engle has escaped from this jail in Perry County.
