KSP investigate homicide in Franklin County

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Authorities are calling the death of Franklin County man a homicide, saying he was found shot in a home Tuesday morning.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 hang-up call around 6:00 a.m. from a home on Pea Ridge Road. When deputies arrived, they say they discovered 73-year-old Ronald D. Thornton dead.

The Franklin County Coroner’s Office says Thornton was shot multiple times.

Kentucky State Police say they do not have any suspects.
