KSP: Wayne County man admits to fatal shooting, beating
WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say a Wayne County man admitted to shooting a man and beating him with a wrench over an on-going dispute.
According to the arrest citation for Timothy Reynolds, troopers were called to a report of an unresponsive man lying along Duncan Road in Monticello around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday. They arrived to find 52-year-old Mark Duncan dead.
State Police say Reynolds called 911 saying he shot Duncan and went back home to wait for law enforcement to come and arrest him.
The arrest citation says Duncan was at Reynold’s mother-in-law’s home so Reynolds went there and, when he found Duncan standing outside his truck near the house, he got a gun from his car and started firing it at Duncan’s head. Reynolds says once Duncan fell to the ground, he grabbed a wrench from his car and hit him in the head several times with it, according to court documents.
Reynolds is charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.
