Sheriff: Pursuit leads to meth trafficking arrest in Laurel County

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says two people were taken into custody following a pursuit and crash on Monday.

According to the sheriff’s office, U.S. Marshals tried to make a traffic stop on KY 638 near London but the driver took off.

Deputies say the driver crashed near Dezarn Road and two men got out and ran. They say the two were quickly taken into custody.

Deputies say 63-year-old Ronnie Lee Bowling was arrested on a federal indictment warrant for trafficking methamphetamine and 58-year-old Donnie Howard was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and marijuana and fleeing and evading.
