UPDATE: Warrant issued for suspect in fatal East Frankfort Park shooting

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Frankfort Police Department announced Friday it’s issued an arrest warrant for a man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month.

The shooting happened in East Frankfort Park on September 4. Police responded to a “shots fired” call around 5:49 p.m. and found 25-year-old Anthony Hendrix, Jr., of Cincinnati, Ohio, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in a park parking lot.

He was rushed to Frankfort Regional Medical Center where he died.

The Frankfort Police Department says a warrant has been issued for 28-year-old Justin L. Cromer for his involvement in Hendrix’s murder.

The Frankfort Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for tips that lead to Cromer’s arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call (502) 875-8648, or go to frankfortcrimestoppers.com and leave an anonymous tip.
