Police: Mechanical failure may have led to deadly crash

JEFF, Ky. (WTVQ) – Investigators say mechanical failure may have led to a crash that killed one person and injured another in Perry County.

The accident happened Thursday evening in the Jeff community.

Investigators say a car traveling downhill crashed into a building.

They say Leslie Hall was killed.  Another person was airlifted to a hospital in Kingsport, Tennessee, according to authorities.

The accident remains under investigation.
