Appalachian Artisan Center awarded grant

HINDMAN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Appalachian Artisan Center in Hindman will build a hospitality center atop the Cody Building, thanks in part to a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The $57,520 grant, coupled with a $205,900 loan, will allow the construction of the hospitality center, according to the USDA.

The center will compliment the Master Artist in Residence program, which offers apprenticeships for people in recovery programs.
